1994 – 100 years after the founding of the IOC in Paris, France – representatives from 20 nations from 5 continents followed the invitation of J. Christian B. Kirsch to Berlin, for participation in the founding congress of the International Delphic Council – rebirth of the Delphic Games of the Modern Era. “It’s a moving moment to state, that the continuously talking water of the Kastalia source did not stop flowing and that there are still people sensitive to hearing it”, Konstantinos Lefas, the former Mayor of Delphi, Greece wrote in his goodwill message. Water became the symbol of the Delphic Games, as fire for the Olympic Games.
